Valley College of Technology is a West Virginia Corporation first established in 1979 by Control Data Corporation. The Martinsburg and Beckley campuses were founded in 1983, and the Princeton campus in 1986.

Accreditations, Approvals and Licenses

All Campuses

  • Hold permits to operate, issued by the WV Council for Community & Technical College Education
  • Are approved for Veterans and SOC / ConAP
    •

Beckley and Princeton Campuses

  • Are accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET)
    •

Martinsburg Campus

  • Is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to award a certificate or diploma

Internet Campus

  • Is accredited by (ACCET), through the Beckley Campus to offer the Business Administration program via Computer Mediated Distance Learning (CMDL)
